Voodoo/Seasons by Beach Moms (March 10, 2012)
I was pleasntly suprised by how much punch is in Beach Moms, ‘Voodoo‘. Starting out soft and slow, ‘Voodoo’ quickly switches gears to a guitar driven, lo-fi/garage based track. My usual system of listening to a song for only 5 seconds was thrown out the window. Those extra few seconds earned me the chance to become introduced to this very cool New York 4-piece. Beach Moms had me very intrigued so, like any good blogger, I did some research. I headed over to their Tumblr. As soon as I clicked over, one this in particular caught my eye. Patches. Band patches. Beach Moms have made their own band patches that look like little bottles of bleach. I was very excited about this. It’s not too often that you come across a band dishing out sew/iron on patches. I knew right away that I was going to become a fan of this shoegazey bunch. Lovecat
