Think of the Willows by Rem’s Floating Chandelier (February 29, 2012) *
Sometimes it’s hard to find the right words to describe a band. And, sometimes when you think you’ve got the right words, but you can’t help second guess the possibility that you might just be repeating yourself. But, when when I’m forced to assign words to an album like Think of the Willows, words like “dreamy” come to mind, and why not? Rem’s Floating Chandelier has based their entire aesthetic around this nostalgic desire fo washed out guitars and layered chorus melodies, and so have a million other bands. The difference is that Rem’s Floating Chandelier feels so natural, so inwardly joyous in execution that you, I promise, will feel a human connection.
