The Ballad of Lawrence Wilson

910752962-1The Ballad of Lawrence Wilson by Coal Bed Duet   (West Palm Beach, Florida) *

Listening to The Ballad of Lawrence Wilson makes you feel like an outlaw. You envision yourself in leather chaps, riding a horse named Bronco, dust flying behind you as the Sheriff chases you down. But you cannot be stopped. You ride on through the night until you find the nearest saloon, you stop, have a quick drink and then ride on. We may not be in the west but I’m sure going to play make believe. [Free Download] @LeahLovecat

This Here’s The Future Primitives

This Here’s The Future Primitives by The Future Primitives   (March 13, 2012)*

Within the past few years I have been developing a deep, deep love for garage/rockabilly. I feel I have really expanded my palate and within the first ew seconds of playing back a song, I know whether or not it’s worth my time. The Future Primitive’s garage recorded EP, This Here’s The Future Primitives, was definitely the highlight of my evening. The EP fit my awkwardly high standards for the rockabilly genre, perfectly. A recent band, having just formed last year, The Future Primitive’s hail from Cape Town, South Africa. A very interesting little piece of information, I thought. With howling vocals and a surf/rock sound, The Future Primitive’s are an exciting group to listen to. You can feel the energy pulsing through your veins. You want to wail and rave to the endless stream of rockabilly that’s thrashing through your speakers. The Cape Town three piece have that raw and genuine sound that’s sure to move them along smoothly and rapidly. Lovecat
