Holy Bus by Les Chevaux Sauvages (St.Gallen, Switzerland)
Les Chevaux Sauvages do sixties garage rock justice. I listen to my fair share of garage rock (if not more so) and I was more than impressed with ‘Holy Bus‘. Its a track that isn’t just made up of that fuzzy, raw sound. It also has a bit of soulfulness to it. The lead vocals remind me of a mix between Eric Burdon and Van Morrison, soul mixed with savage snarl. I really haven’t heard much music from Switzerland but if this back of the bus bluesy punk is the type of stuff they’re spitting out, then I don’t know why I haven’t opened my ears. Oh, by the way, I did some research and if I’m correct ‘Les Chevaux Sauvages’ translates to ‘The Wild Horses’. I just thought I would throw that in there, I thought it was interesting.
