Le ventre articulé

Le ventre articulé by OYOHAULLI   (October 23, 2011) *

From the moment the erratic drum was broken by the ambient synth, I realized that OYOHUALLI (formerly UBERO) had reached a new level.  Incorporating some of the truest free-verse-improvisation I’ve heard, Le ventre articulé builds outward from UBERO’s schizophrenic core, creating more moving pieces, lead by spoken word. Completely expressive, the EP stops short of nothing by throwing, often, all of its instruments into disarray with, what seems like, blind faith in restoration.  The restoration comes, always in the form of melodic reconciliation, sometimes with a lead, but more so, with a word.
