Overdrive Sunrise by Dusk Warrior (November 30, 1989)
There isn’t a lot of instrumental indie music these days. Often times, the singer is the instrument that propels a band’s style and sound. It is refreshing to just kick back and listen to the instrumental music without letting lyrics and messages get in the way. The actual music in Overdrive Sunrise can speak for itself when it comes to getting its message across. Dusk Warrior gives us the pure notes and rhythm, a style very similar to jazz and even some jam-band classic rock (hello Santana).
