It’s sort of strange to write a review on an album written for one person in specific, but thats exactly what this is.  This four track EP was written and recorded by Fanelli, frontman of New York City rock band Shapes (the only band named Shapes, or the Shapes that will ever matter) for his girlfriend.  It’s light weight and light hearted by comparison to your typical Shapes track yet still extremely angst filled and gut wrenching.  Chances of hearing Shapes perform any of these tracks live?  I’d bet pretty good. Recorded at the pinacle of diy settings: Mama Coco’s Funky Kitchen, it’s everything you’ve come to expect from the NYC rock scene.
