When I think of Halifax, this is almost exactly what comes to mind. I don’t know where my sub-conscious picked that up, but it’s there for better or worse. None the less, Burdens captures a stifling, pent up angst in a raw form that’s hard to ignore. This early demo release shows the ambition, aggression and love this group has for their genre. Creativity wins in this experimental, post-hardcore release.
