I Just Wanna Be by Born Blonde (London, England)
I love writing about bands with all my heart but when you feel as if death has entered into your system, sometimes it’s hard to bring yourself to the computer keys. This is my dramatic way of saying: i’m sick. Regardless, I decided to be a good Lovecat and write about some bands. In this condition, however, they better be good. Within one minute of my search, I came across Born Blonde. I started listening to their EP, I Just Wanna Be, and was relieved that my search was a short one. Born Blonde release a psych/rock sound with a touch of spaciness. Their sound is so bold while being slightly melancholy that it’s almost as if you’ve acquired the ability to see sound. Blues and greys leak out of the speakers and circle around your head. An unusual, yet welcomed, trance. Lovecat
