General Washington by Blankus Larry   (Washington DC / Virginia Beach)

Here we have it folks, the next installment from Blankus Larry. I absolutely love the way they decided to release their album. One by one the tracks have been rolling into my email as if they were wrapped in some foil paper, ready for me to tear apart. Sometimes I find it hard to have to listen to an entire album, by a band I hardly know, in one sitting. But having the opportunity to listen to one track at a time has been a dream. I’m able to listen to the album track by track without feeling bombarded. ‘General Washington‘ is the final puzzle piece of Side A. It reminds me of a song that the Cramps would put out, very strutty, very garage. It’s exactly the type of thing I’m into. Side A has been a blast, now I just have to prepare myself for Side B. @LeahLovecat

Nassau

Nassau by Blankus Larry   (Washington DC)

Over the past couple of months it has been such a pleasure to be able to get everyone acquainted with Blankus Larry. Releasing each track from their album one by one has been so exciting, not to mention incredible mouth watering. ‘Nassau’ is their longest song they have released, so far. I found myself sitting on edge for about 7 minutes and then those ever so familiar powerful vocals kicked in. It’s one of those songs that grabs you by the throat and rattles you up. Blankus Larry have done such a great job with each song they have written. Each song carries it’s own weight and I always find myself checking my email for the next installment. @LeahLovecat

I Am A Heatseeker

Hell Or High Larry by Blankus Larry   (Washington, DC & Virginia Beach, VA)

‘I Am A Heatseeker’ is the second release off of Blankus Larry’s album, Hell Or High Larry. This track is more surfy than their previous featured track, ‘Fall Forever Intha Sun’, but is just as addicting. I love it’s animalistic appeal, how it just makes you want to move and shake. There are six more tracks that are to be released off of Hell Or High Larry and they can’t come soon enough. Fall Forever Intha Sun

Hell Or High Larry by Blankus Larry   (Washington, DC & Virginia Beach, VA)

Anonymous duo, Blankus Larry, have released a psych/garage track that is definitely on the darker side of the fence. ‘Fall Forever Intha Sun‘ reminds me of that dark ally lure, it pulls you in without you even knowing. It’s a strangely addictive track made for late night listening sessions as you sit cross-legged on your floor. With the way it looks to me, the rest of the tracks off of Hell Or High Larry will be released one by one withing the passing weeks, I’ll definitely be checking back for more. Lovecat
