Beware Of The Wolves by Sexy Girls (Providence, Rhode Island)
.
Sexy Girls really aren’t at all what I expected. When you spend hours sifting through music, sometimes you get excited over some really cool album art or band name an expect them to blow you away. Sort of a cruel mind trick that I don’t at all appreciate. With a name like Sexy Girls, I was figuring it could go either way. Either I was to be impressed or let down. Thankfully, I was very happy to listen to Beware Of The Wolves. A very garage/psych sound, Sexy Girls songs contain howls and short sort of screams. Its very enticing. It feels like and album you would of heard back in the ‘good old days’. Something that would’ve flown under the radar. Something you would’ve had to sneak under your pillow only to skip it out of its sleeve during your time alone. It gives you that feeling of ‘I found this and I’m going to play it until it can be played no more’. So maybe the ‘good old days’ weren’t all that good because Beware Of The Wolves isn’t really an album I would want to hide. Lovecat
