Celluloid History by Everyday Disguise (Santa Cruz, California)
I’m immediatly drawn to the simplicity of ‘Celluloid History‘. It’s lo-fi garage rock that doesn’t overwhelm and on a Sunday night (as I write this post), it’s just what I need. I like how this song doesn’t really seem to have a particular direction, it just naturally flows into 4 minutes of a fuzzy experiment. I never really felt that way when I was listening to a song. Usually you can guess every beat and every lick that’s coming but Everyday Disguise have written and recording something so organically that’s it’s unpredictable. Sure, you can guess a little, but I’d rather be surprised. @LeahLovecat
