Forever by Lazyeyes (Brooklyn, New York)
I’ve been debating whether or not to review this single. I’m strong in my convictions when it comes to writing about bands that I know personally and I recently made the statement that I would no longer do it. However, after the recent release of this song and having seen Lazyeyes play live, I decided that I would bend the rules a little simply based on the fact that they are pretty amazing. ‘Forever‘, out of the songs they have released so far, is definitely their most polished and best representation. It’s darker and faster and makes you itch to see them play live. I don’t know what it is that makes this track so infectious but it was enough to make me too impatient to wait for the soon to be released debut EP. It’s really exciting when you see a band making music that you know are going to play a huge part in changing the scene or moving it forward. There are big things happening in Brooklyn and it’s a real privilege to see it firsthand. [Free Download] @LeahLovecat
