Damp Face EP by La Luz (Seattle, Washington)
Here are some pretty tunes. Another cool Seattle band, La Luz is a girl-group debuting their first EP Damp Face last week. I really like these chicks. This whole EP is great. Surfy, like real old school surf rock. I just wanna lie back on my board and let the ocean carry me out to sea. On top of the surf, mostly in the vocals, is a contemporary lo-fi girl group. ‘Call Me in the Day’ is a nice thought, the song has nice lyrics too. The singer is sad. Her voice is lovely, low, yearning. ‘Easy Baby’ is another really nice tune, this band is sweet, these girls are a bunch of sweethearts. The Damp Face Ep is really worth checking out and La Luz is worth keeping an eye on in future for some more classic new hits. @CigaretteBreath
