Manayunk Songs by Clotworthy (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)
I feel like I’m listening to a memoir. Something beautifully heartbreaking, perhaps written day by day about various life experiences. Manayunk Songs is a bedroom recorded, synth pop chronicle. I almost feel like I should be reading a book or seeing a movie where this album was the inspiration for the plot. I can definitely see myself sitting in a dark theater with this album playing in surround sound as the movie rolls from start to finish. Clotworthy has quickly become a sort of hero of mine, for what I’m not yet sure of, but I feel like there is something incredibly bold about this album. @LeahLovecat
