Keep Me Up by Sunny (Perth, Australia)
After a night of cold washcloths on my forehead and the shakes, I broke through my fever and found this little gem to turn my day right around. ‘Keep Me Up’ had me tapping my fingers and singing the chorus during the first playback. That rarely happens, however Sunny have written an unbelievably catchy song with an easy chorus to memorize. It’s the perfect combination of ingredients. The simplicity of the lyrics make it absolutely infectious, it’s impossible not to attempt singing the lyrics while you’re listening. Though the song may be about heartbreak, the bedroom pop keeps it light and sweet and leaves you with a bright outlook. So even though my throat may very well be closing up, at least I have an upbeat track to keep me calm. @LeahLovecat
