Throwing Up by Best Friends (Sheffield, UK)
When a band claims to be a sort of party band, I am always very hesitant to actually believe them. A band can claim they play big house shows with crowd surfing and mayhem but nine times out of ten, I don’t buy it. However, I do with Best Friends. Throwing Up sounds like an album that I would indeed put on at a house party, it’s catchy and poppy without ever getting kitschy. I’m moving into a new apartment next month, I wonder how much it would be to fly the band from England to New York. Whatever the price I’m sure it would be well worth the energy they would bring with them. @LeahLovecat
