Hear Eye Go by Golden Animals (New York, New York)
Golden Animals’ Hear Eye Go is a perfect example of “desert rock”, the sub-genre I have come to love dearly. It has a lonely feel to it with a psych rock undertone that makes you want to shake. With their LP due for release at the end of October, Golden Animals have released ‘Most My Time’/'The Letter’ as a sort of teaser. These are songs I would listen to in the dark. I have this fantasy that it would be a great to take my laptop outside and sit underneath the dark fall sky while listening to an album like this. I feel like I would have an overwhelming sense of calmness, that my eyes would become glassy and I could just sit there and listen to music. This isn’t really an unreasonable concept, maybe I should just suck it up, throw on a sweater and sit outside. @LeahLovecat
