While fourteen year olds are shooting eachother over meaningless rap beef (that is Chicago right?– because this is fucking Bed-Stuy and it’s every fucking day) a group like The Red River Mining Co. is using toy pianos to part the bloodshed with whatever sunlight they can provide. Pleasantly presenting Elephantine, a three track short-story that only pulls the jabs in favor of the uppercuts, the band arranges some sort of solidarity in shaky times.  And while thousands sit behind white walls, earning paychecks to be spent by ungrateful families, these guys are surely doing what they love.  [Free Download]  @Dingusonmusic
