‘Stray’ by Kaika   (Trondheim, Norway) *

‘Stray‘ is by far one of the more powerful pieces of ambient we’ve posted here on Dingus.  The track is a heavy handed construction of noise that will bring the listener back to a Silent Hill-esque scene, crossed over with auditory suggestions of pain and struggle.  Spanning a bountiful eleven minutes and sixteen seconds, Laika’s debut bandcamp single could be the stage setting for nearly anything.  But, as shown, ambient done right requires skill- a safe measurement for the future of the group/producer.  ’Stray’ resolves peacefully, making musical narrative in harmony with values that I, personally, can agree with.  @Dingusonmusic
