The City / Sunrise by Princesse (France/NYC)
After the past few day’s that I’ve had, I’ve really been able to see the true healing power music has. When you listen to something that just clicks with you, it’s as if all the stress melts away and for a few minutes, you’re completely content with your surroundings. That’s how I felt when I listened to Princesse. The City / Sunrise are a wonderful set of songs. Princesse write dreamy shoegaze pop songs for ”sensitive people who like to party”. If I’m to understand correctly, these songs are dedicate to some girls. Girls who have inspired, loved, crushed these boys and these songs are the outcome. I tried to imagine which girls did what, who were the lovers, who were the poison, who inspired certain lyrics. It’s all a matching game and I could and I want to spend the next few hours trying to figure it out. @LeahLovecat
