For every time that I turn around thinking of New York as creativity’s cesspool, I’m reminded that often creative genius is born in blood and shit.  One of the few acts rising above drowning level is The Great American Novel.  Coming from a group that specializes in earfucking you with catchy melodies over and over again, Kissing is exactly what I expected: an album that would stay on repeat as a learn to sing along with the conscious exchange between the profound and the naive.  Being the DIY all-stars that they are, the album is free- however the occasional thousand dollar donation is appreciated.  [Free Download]  @Dingusonmusic
