The Eve Of Invasion by The Narrows (Manchester, England)
I have been sitting on the edge of my seat for the past year, biting my fingers, tapping my foot for the countdown to the debut album from, The Narrows. The Eve Of Invasion, of course, did not disappoint. It’s full of mechanical sounds, melancholy lyrics. Tracks like ‘The Falling Man’, ‘We Invent Enemies’ and ‘I Make My Car Crash’ really caught my attention. They are such forward songs, slightly aggressive, not in a bad way, more that they just grab you. Their songs are about the dark side of the modern world, all the things we are afraid to talk about, afraid to face. The Narrows have a way about them where they command attention and you can’t help but give it to them. On June 4th The Eve Of Invasion will be released by Cognitive Dissonance Records. It is being released on Limited Edition vinyl, as a Deluxe CD boxed package and as a digital download, all of which will be available via The Narrows website. No matter which way you choose, you’re going to have the opportunity to listen to an album that is truly unique. No other band are making sounds like The Narrows and it was an honor to have had an early listen to The Eve Of Invasion. Lovecat
