Disturbing the Geese

Disturbing the Geese by Tczeebo   (Cocoa) *

It’s unexplainable (maybe not) why today’s youth has lost interest in the most elaborate music forms- if a track isn’t boner inducing, it’s immediately at a disadvantage.  What happened to friends getting together to sit and listen to a progressive, experimental record and then discuss?  When did music become a background piece for other activities, solely?  If you’ve ever attempted to play your track for someone in hopes of getting an honest response and instead find yourself drawn into a conversation while your music is playing, you know what I’m talking about. When did it become awkward to just sit in silence and absorb a piece of audio brilliance?

I digress from the start.  For those of you out there who still enjoy putting on a good record when your work day is over.  For those of you who understand listening as a skill, Disturbing the Geese was written for you.  Tczeebo’s tackles the freeform genre with grace, pivoting at every tonal turn and providing the proper amount of structure in contrast to chaos.  The album is everything an intellectual audience deserves- and you, Dingus readers, are that audience.  [Free Download]  Dingus
