Away From Home

Plumes by Plumes   (New York, New York)

I spent the last hour going back and forth, listening to Plumes self titled 3 track album. There was something about it that I couldn’t really figure out. I guess that’s what makes a good song. When it contains something underneath that seems to stick in your mind. Plumes have a unique sound, something of a cross between folk, indie and classical. ‘Away From Home’ fully embodies the combination of all these genres. The blend of the female and male vocals add a lush, swoony feel that give Plumes odd sound a bit more charm. Though, to be honest, after a few listens they will have you pressing the repeat button over and over again. The fact that they made their sound unique makes their music that much more enticing.
