Cheap Talk by J. Eygenraam (Canada)
J.Eygenraam’s Cheap Talk has, in approximately 3 minutes, become one of my favorite new albums. I always say that more bands need to incorporate the tambourine, it really does make a song better. Aside from the have themselves there were a total of 7 other musicians who ‘did stuff’ on the album. Its almost like you can hear it, like this was a team project. Its nice, it helps give Cheap Talk a warm feeling. Their folky/indie style doesn’t disappoint on tracks like ‘No Take Backs’ and ‘Sunset Gun’. Its the perfect album to get you and it’s those ‘summer albums’ always seem to be the ones that you always hold a special place for. Lovecat
