West – East

West – East by Saitam   (Porto, Portugal) *

Often producers are afraid to do things like cut entire instrumental sections at half measures, leaving only the beat.  Often it’s because they dont feel comfortable enough about any singular part to let it stand, firmly, on its own.  Not Saitam.  West – East has all those lovable epic moments we cherish while still paying close attention, as a composer, to each twig.  The summation of the part is, no doubt, beautiful, but is something that can only be achieved with careful dedication and preparation.  The truth is that this album, similar to the individual songs, is a collection of movements more powerful united, than as singles.  Dingus
