Consistently moody, deekie’s February release, the Wandle EP is the sort of glossy eyes, hazy minded dream pop that stocked bands like Zero7 in our memory, forever. Softly demonstrating melodic control, tracks like ‘The Only Way is Through‘ welcome winding poetics. The vocalists are patient, choosing their moments clearly and concisely, it’s this patience that pays off in the end because when Wandle does decide to make more challenging harmonic leaps, it has a concrete footing.
