It’s hard to get behind an album released two years ago. It’s hard to write about it and pretend that it’s happening today, but at the end of the day what we’re discussing is the DIY quality. Experimentally further than most in the Spanish music scene dare to venture, Rosemary’s Babe creates a modernist collage of sound that while appearing pop-ish on the surface, hides an avant-garde agenda. At times, the tracks can be unsettling, even nauseating; they rupture the song structure, determined to win you over with a unique personality. ”Could be a woman. Could be imaginary.
